Kamagogo Whole Beans

Sit back and enjoy the delights of an outstanding Kenyan coffee with this lot from the Kamagogo factory. Complex and lively but refined, clean and bittersweet. If you like your coffee black, this is as good as it gets.

Producers: Various small holders, Kamagogo factory

Origin: Kenya

Variety: SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru 11, Batian, K7

Process: Washed

Tasting Notes: Rhubarb, blackcurrant & grapefruit

The first thing that comes to mind when we think about Kenyan coffee is “acidity”. That bit is often easy to find. What we’re looking for (to stand above the rest) is not simply mouth-puckering brightness, it’s complexity and sweetness to round the whole thing off - giving us a properly delicious cup of coffee. We’re happy to say this one has it all. After another tough growing season in Kenya, we’re truly delighted to have our hands on a coffee like this.

Take your time to perfect the brew and you’ll find notes of blackcurrant & grapefruit with a creamy mouthfeel that stands up to both espresso and filter brewing.

Our Packaging & what to do with it...

Our 250g bags are 100% plastic-free and can be recycled with your household paper or composted in your garden. We recommend storing your coffee in an airtight container like this one, not in the fridge.

Our 1kg bags are home compostable but not domestically recyclable, please don't put them in your curbside recycling.
